IQIS 2018 – 11th Italian Quantum Information Science conference September 17th-20th, 2018 – Catania, Italy

The series  of  IQIS Conferences aims to bring together many researchers from Italy and around the world in the field of Quantum Information and related Technologies.

Professors, young researchers, postdocs and students will have the opportunity to meet active research groups and establish collaborations.

The Conference will continue the work of the Italian Quantum community and agenda, first set in Camerino in 2008 and then continued in Pisa (2009), Torino (2010), Vietri (2011), Padova (2012), Como (2013), Salerno (2014), Monopoli (2015), Rome (2016) and Florence (2017).

During the Conference an event dedicated to the FET-Flagship 2018-28 on “Quantum Technologies” will take place.

Kick-off meeting of project “AGM for CuHe – Advanced Green Materials for Cultural Heritage”

The Kick-off meeting of “AGM for CuHe – Advanced Green Materials for Cultural Heritage” project was held at the University of Catania on october 25.

“AGM for CuHe” project was funded by MIUR within National Operational Program for Reseach and Innovation 2014-2020 – Cultural Heritage specialization area.

The Technological Cluster Sicily Micro and Nano Systems participates in the project as Beneficiary in collaboration with its partners CNR and University of Messina.

Italia-Israele Cooperation Workshop on “Materials and Technologies for Industrial Innovation” – Catania, 16-17 October 2018

Israel and Italy share a strong attitude towards innovation. This bilateral workshop – organised within the framework of the cooperation agreement on industrial, scientific and technological research signed by the Italian Ministry for Foreign Affairs (MAECI) and the Israeli Ministry for Science and Technology (MOST) – will gather together key players from industry, research centres and academia coming from the two countries and acting in the field of materials and related technologies. The aim is to present best practices in the exploitation of research results, in the creation of start ups and in the industry-university interaction within the strategic field of novel materials. The workshop will consist of invited oral presentations but time will be kept for round tables, ample discussion and interaction. We expect to stimulate collaboration among partners from the two countries in a win-win scenario. The workshop is co-organized by Distretto Tecnologico Sicilia Micro e Nano Sistemi.

that will take place on September, 11th-14th 2018 in the traditional venue of the Renaissance Cloister by Sangallo at the Faculty of Civil and Industrial Engineering of “Sapienza” University of Rome in Via Eudossiana 18

NanoInnovation is the national meeting place for the wide and multidisciplinary community dealing with the development of nanotechnologies and their integration with other key enabling technologies (KETs), in all application fields. The event is a unique opportunity for the scientific, industrial and business communities, providing an open discussion platform, where researchers, technologists, managers, entrepreneurs and investors can share experiences, opinions and expectations about the role of nanotechnologies for future innovations.

NanoInnovation is also a unique place for students, PhDs and young researchers to gather latest insights on developments in nanotechnologies, and meeting the key players in the field.

Several participation opportunities are available, ranging from oral and poster presentations, organization of technical-scientific sessions, workshops and satellite events, aiming to present scientific and technical results, novel applications and products, new tools and equipment, disseminating projects results, etc.

ECSEL JU and CEZAMAT are organising the ECSEL JU Call Forum 2018 in Warsaw.

Learn about the ECSEL JU Calls for 2018 and how to apply, engage with other potential project partners and exchange ideas on projects for funding under the ECSEL JU scheme. ECSEL JU’s annual Call Forum for 2018 will take place in Warsaw, on Tuesday March 6th 2018. The event targets potential applicants for the Calls for Proposals under the ECSEL JU funding scheme, and will be an ideal opportunity to learn more about the project submission process, as well as to meet consortium partners.The event is followed on Wednesday March 7th 2018 by Consortium Building Sessions co-organised by AENEAS, ARTEMIS-IA, and EPoSS at the same location. To submit pitches and posters ideas for the Consortium Building Sessions, please register via the ECS Collaboration Tool.

The event will take place at the premises of the Centre for Advanced Materials and Technologies CEZAMAT, near Chopin Airport in Warsaw.
